What are the best songs to use behind a sports promotional video – a build up video for a new season?
What can I do to help condition my body for biking, hiking and other outdoor sports?
I am overweight and really want to get into outdoor sports. But every 50ft or so, I struggle (can’t breathe, legs turn to jelly, etc.)
I rode my bike for the first time in YEARS (10+) and am still hurting from "saddle sore".
What can I do to condition my body, relieve the pains and prevent the suffering?
The best way to condition yourself for an activity is to do that activity. You just have to start really slowly and build up gradually. You will get there. Sounds like you are pushing yourself, which is good. Discomfort tells you you are improving your fitness, but be sure to stay within you limits so you don’t hurt yourself.
Can Basketball shoes be used for other indoor sports aswell?
I bought a pair of shoes for my 15 year old daughter for gym class. They are basketball styled shoes, so they have the flat bottems. Is it a bad thing for her to wear these during gym class seeing as how they will be playing other sports then just basketball? I was thinking that since you run, jump and move from side to side in basketball, these shoes must be able to handle other sports too. Am i wrong?
They should be fine.
I use my basketball shoes to work-out in and for gym class.
There great for running, andthat’ss mostly what we do in our gym classes. =]
Why don’t the sports leagues around the world have a one strike your out policy?
I think that all the professional leagues should have a 1 strike your out policy. In other words, if you get caught with steroids or perf. enhancing drugs (w/o mitigating circumstances) you’re banned from the league.
Granted, there are certain drugs with medicinal purposes that has caused false positives in Olympic competition and the testing regime needs to improve. We should define "Medicine" and there should be separate list and there should definitely be an appeal process.
If there’s a medical reason that can explain everything, we’ll hear it in court. But I think we’ve come to a point where people are beginning to believe that everybody’s cheating (which I hope (maybe against hope) is not true) causing young kids to think cheating is the only answer and losing what’s amazing about great athletes and sports. I want kids to believe they don’t need to become cyborgs or need gene therapy or performance enhancing drugs to be great athletes.

Better idea. Instead of banning the perpetrator of performance enhancing drugs with a 1st strike yer out policy, deduct half of the contract salary on the first offense, and a fourth on consecutive offenses. Pretty soon, the athlete will be broke, maybe take up another trade, like trestle stacker.

What do you mean by top age? If you mean the oldest you can go and still be competitive, then I’ve seen people start archery when they’re in their mid 30′s and still be competitive.

Couple of Notes:
If you listen in each clip you’ll hear Crosby yelling “Iggy!” for Iginla to feed him the pass, hence the title. I thought everyone knew about that part.
The France TV broadcast included a broadcaster from Quebec, so I’m sure part of the exuberance of the whole crew was from him.
The BBC call after the goal is “It’s taken a while for him to come to the party… he can celebrate, Canada can celebrate.”
I had to get friends from around the world to capture these sound bytes so it’s why a lot of countries are missing. I would have loved to get more of the hockey nations, Russia, Slovakia, Finland etc.
